Kitchen ventilation

The goals for kitchen ventilation are:

  • A high level of hygiene
  • A healthy, safe and comfortable working environment

Cooking and food production require that both the structure and the materials of ventilation products enable easy cleaning.

Occupational health and working comfort are ensured by providing a correct air purity level, temperature, draught-free air distribution and lighting.

Grease carried into the air ducts with exhaust air causes both a fire and hygiene risk. Exhaust air must be freed from grease in the kitchen using grease separators. Ducts for greasy exhaust air must be fire protected along their entire length.
